Viviana received her Juris Doctorate degree from California Western School of Law. During her law school career, Viviana joined California Western’s Public Interest Law Foundation and was awarded the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services. Viviana also received an Academic Excellence Award in Legal Skills and a Distinguished Advocate Award for participating in her school’s Appellate Competition. Dedicating several months to the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, Viviana worked to protect families facing eviction, supported clinic participants in filing for Temporary Restraining Orders, and helped clinic participants with name/gender marker changes. Viviana went on to intern at the San Diego City Attorney’s Office where she researched municipal legal issues regarding Human Trafficking, Short-Term Residential Occupancy requirements, and more. Viviana also supported city attorneys in lengthy depositions and settlement conferences.
Prior to law school, Viviana graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara where she studied Philosophy, with a concentration in Ethics and Public Policy, as a means to immerse herself in understanding the legal principles that make up the bedrock of our legal system today.
When she is not at work, Viviana is playing tennis, hiking, attending music concerts, or spending time with friends and family.
