Britney (“Brit”) Malpiede is committed to compassionate and proactive representation. Ms. Malpiede finds that a cooperative approach can yield effective results, particularly when children are involved. She also finds success can be garnered through effective and strategic litigation, when necessary. Ms. Malpiede genuinely desires to help clients, and believes that actively listening to each client’s priorities and circumstances is essential to building productive and trusting client relationships.
In her free time, Brit enjoys hiking, camping, yoga, socializing with friends, travel, and going on adventures with her dog, Zoey. Originally from Colorado, Brit is enamored with the outdoors.
Ms. Malpiede is a member of the California Bar and admitted to practice law in the Federal District Courts of the Southern District of California. She received her Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Sociology at Colorado State University. During law school she was on the Dean’s List and received an Award for Academic Excellence, among other recognitions.
Ms. Malpiede is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the San Diego Family Law Bar Association, and Lawyers Club of San Diego. Ms. Malpiede received the State Bar of California’s Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Services two years in a row. Her favored pro bono organizations are San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, and Casa Cornelia Law Center.
